Our Mission
The Haller Foundation's mission is to work at the grassroots with the impoverished communities of Africa - rural and urban.
Our goal is to offer simple, positive and pragmatic solutions to the many problems faced by these communities - namely, drought, unproductive land, hunger, disease and poverty - helping them develop capacity in sustainable food production whilst ensuring environmental sustainability. We work closely with our local partner The Baobab Trust to implement projects which empower people, creating the infra structure they need to create long term stability and success - and reduce their dependence on aid.
Education, whether for small holder farmers in Kenya or British children, underpins everything we do. We believe that sustainable development is only possible when education, environment, health and food security are approached as a whole - and by helping communities to take the first step onto the economic ladder we are helping to create a new generation of 'barefoot entrepreneurs.'
