4 Wheel Drive to be used as Mobile Medical Unit

After a recent visit from our Project Manager Dr. Claire Davies-Chung, we have identified a tremendous need to provide in conjunction with our Health Promotion Clinic - a vehicle which will be able to visit remote villages.  Research on the ground indicates that this will be most effective method of transforming the health of individuals - distances travelled to access medical care are vast, with women carrying very sick children on their back for miles.

We are urgently seeking a Hi-Lux (diesel/automatic) or something similar.

Please contact us.

Computers

We are extending our Education Centre to include a Computer Room which would provide free IT Skills training workshops for Adults and Children.  These workshops will teach the basics of word processing and accounting skills - increasing their employability prospects.

While we have secured funding for the construction of the room, we are in urgent need of donations of Computers - in working order with basic software installed - Word & Excel and which meets basic Internet access.

Educational Kits

The Nguuni Education Centre has been asked by the poorly resourced schools who attend to include more science and art workshops.  In order for us to be able to deliver these workshops to the widest group of schools and children, we are requesting donations of Science and Art boxes.

Science Kits such as Chemistry Kits, Geology Kits, Anatomy Kits etc.

Art Boxes such as Colouring and Painting Kits, Craft design etc.

Geography Kits such as World Map Puzzles, Country Puzzles etc.

Help Us Buy A Digger!

The Haller Foundation and our local partner, The Baobab Trust urgently need your support to help fund the purchase of a Digger for our Water Harvesting Projects.

Please read about our Water Harvesting Projects!

Currently to build dams in the rurual communities that we work with, The Haller Foundation has to rent a Digger.  This cost makes up a large percentage of the total budget, and limits the number of dams we can build. It is without a doubt our largest expense.

With our own digger, the cost of building a dams and securing safe water for the communities we work with would drop by 35%!

Alternatively £5000 will enable us to provide a community with a dam. They can then harvest rainwater, grow vegetables and begin to breed fish for food - This enables a community to begin with enough food to eat, then to sell, and begins the whole cycle of economic development.
